Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and developed a passion for sprinting at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition, she placed in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school in 2003 and was signed by Adidas to become a professional athlete. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics held which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record the 200m race in 22.18 secs. In 2005, she became the youngest 200-meter world champion during the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 beating her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her competitions.
