Marcia Harvey
Marcia Harvey, an African-American
author, is better known for her ex-wife comedian and host Steve Harvey.
Deciding largely to stay away from the gaze of the media, she has a private
life. Although Steve did not have anywhere as far as the fame he enjoys now,
they were married for 14 years. It's unclear what led to the split, however
Hollywood has heard rumors of it. Some blame it on Steve Harvey's habit of
cheating as well as others to his decision to choose an alternative career path
to comedy. Steve Harvey separated from his two daughters when she was pregnant
with their third child. This caused her to feel devastated. Despite all the
challenges, she managed to build an impressive career as a fashion writer and
stylist. Her books include 'Marcia Eyes To The Soul', "Marcia Poems From
The Heart', and 'Marcia: Thoughts from My Mind'. Her children are influenced by
her kindness and generosity. Marcia Harvey was raised in an African American
family and isn't wealthy. She began her career in an department store called
"Saks Fifth Avenue". She came across Steve several years later at a
mutual friend's reception event. They were very close and married in the year
1980. The couple had twin girls in 1982, while Steve was an insurance
salesperson. Steve started to feel depressed at his job and began to consider a
career in the field of entertainment. He wanted to be an actor. He and Marcia
did not get together and later reports suggested that they had been living in a
relationship since 1990. Marcia Harvey was famous for her divorce from Steve
Harvey and marriage. While the details of their divorce in 1994 have been kept
private, it is clear that Marcia was expecting their third child at the time
that things fell apart. Marcia was divorced in 1993. Marcia was forced to seek
the law following her divorce and Steve Harvey's refusing of child support and
alimony payments.
