Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe (born on
26th August 2002), known professionally as Lil Tecca, is an American musician
and rapper. The single he released in 2019 "Ransom" was his breakout
hit. It reached number 4 in the Billboard Hot 100. This track was part his
debut mixtape "We Love You Tecca" (2019) that peaked at number 4 on
US Billboard 200. The mixtape also featured the singles Love Me and Did It
Again. The album he released as his debut, Virgo world (2020) was released on
the Billboard 200 at number 10. It contained the Billboard Hot 100
chart-charting songs "Dolly" as well as "When You Down".
His second mixtape, We Love You Tecca 2, was released in August 2021 which
included "Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony
sharpe was the son of Jamaican immigrants. He was born on August 26 2002, in
Queens, New York City. Sharpe was raised in Springfield Gardens a neighborhood
of Queens, but later relocated to Cedarhurst in Long Island. From a young age,
Sharpe had aspirations of playing in the NBA, but around the age of 12, he
turned his attention toward pursuing a career path in music. He attended
Lawrence High School. Tecca was just nine years old age when he began to rap on
his Xbox. One of their diss tracks was posted to SoundCloud many years ago but
was later removed. At beginning, he didn't have intentions to start an aspiring
career in music, but instead dreamed of becoming an NBA superstar. He began to
pursue music more seriously when dropping his interest in basketball in middle
school. His first song that became well-known, "Tectri", was made in
collaboration with Lil Gummybear and released in early 2017. The other tracks
he has released comprise "Callin" as well as "Tectri". The
hit song of his "Ransom," which was first uploaded to Cole Bennett's
Lyrical lemonade YouTube channel on May 22, 2019, marked the beginning of the
meteoric rise of Tecca. It peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts
and was played over 900,000,000 times on Spotify and more than 300 million
times on YouTube.
